Argentine Football Legend, Maradona Collapses, Rushed To The Hospital After Match Against Nigeria
Argentina football legend, Diego Maradona, has been rushed to hospital after nearly collapsing following his country’s 2-1 win over Nigeria on Tuesday night.
Maradona could be seen in a shocking video clip, being helped from the stands by worried pals following the 2018 World Cup clash.
The 57-year-old has sparked serious health fears and according to ESPN, he was checked over by medics before being taken away by ambulance.
Maradona had seconds earlier sworn at supporters, after Marcos Rojo’s late winner. He said to the boys before the match not to return home if they lose to Nigeria.
But he could hardly walk from his seat at the end of the match. From the match, it was so obvious how excited the football legend was and he probably didn’t put his health into consideration.
Respected South American journalist, Diego Cora, tweeted: “Maradona had to be cared for by the doctors and was taken to hospital.”
